James Bond returns again to this time do battle with one of his most dangerous enemies yet, essentially the dark side of 007, Francisco Scaramanga; the man with the golden gun. James Bond is sent into the field to ensure that the priceless Solex Agitator, which could solve the current energy crisis, makes it’s way safely into his government’s hands. However, several events are set into motion, leading up to the ultimate duel between Bond and Scaramanga...

James Bond: How will I recognize him?
Andrea Anders: Tall, slim, and dark.
James Bond: So is my aunt. Anything distinctive?
Andrea Anders: How can I put this? He’s not like other men.
Andrea Anders: He has three...
James Bond: Probably the most useless anatomical tidbit I’ve ever heard. Unless of course the Bottoms Up Club is a strip club, and Scaramanga is performing.

Scaramanga is introduced as a 1 million dollar hitman, killing his victims with his powerful golden gun. Nick Nack is his small in size, but helpful henchman throughout the mission. Bond recieves a note at headquarters supposedly from Scaramanga himself, warning Bond. With that in mind, Bond heads off into the field to try and locate the Solex Agitator. He meets up a dancer named Saida, and gets a lead from the golden bullet she has as her lucky charm.

Later on, Bond sees Gibson, the man who currently held the Solex be shot right in the middle of the streets. The killer was naturally Scaramanga, who remains hidden at that time. Bond also meets up with an ally in Lt. Hip and Andrea Anders, the mistress of Scaramanga, who eventually confesses to Bond that she sent the letter in hope of Bond reaching it and freeing her from Scaramanga.

Mary Goodnight, also from headquarters like Bond, meets up with him in the field and tries to assist him in what little ways she can. Bond later finds out that Hai-Fat may be connected to Scaramanga also. Hai-Fat is later shot by Scaramanga. Bond is nearly killed by Nick Nack when going to meet Hai-Fat for a dinner appointment, as Bond has unsuccessfully tried to pose as Scaramanga earlier. Surprisingly, Bond meets up with Sheriff J.W. Pepper as well while escaping from a school of Scaramanga assassins after him. Andrea has been killed by Scaramanga, which Bond notices when he meets Scaramanga, right before a high-speed car chase.

Francisco Scaramanga: Forget the girl, she’s replaceable. I shall find what she stole from me. Personally, I’ve got nothing against you, Mr. Bond, and to keep it that way, let us hope our paths never cross again. Please don’t try to follow me.
James Bond: Your peanut toting friend back there wouldn’t like it?
Francisco Scaramanga: No, he wouldn’t.

The entire mission leads up to Bond encountering Scaramanga on his island, and an eventual duel taking place in his funhouse. Bond gets the upper hand with the help of one specific prop inside and kills Scaramanga, and then quickly escapes with Mary Goodnight.

All that is left is one more brief brawl with Nick Nack aboard Scaramanga's junk...
